    Damage Protection Policy

    Last Updated: April 2026

At Pickleball Paddle Rentals, we want you to play with confidence. Normal wear and tear is always covered on every membership at no extra cost. For broader protection against accidental damage, cracks, and pet damage, you can add our optional Damage Protection add-on for a small additional monthly fee at checkout.

What’s Covered (Normal Wear & Tear)

We cover the everyday wear that happens from regular play, including:

    • Light surface scratches on the paddle face
    • Minor scuffs and edge wear
    • Grip wear and fading
    • Gradual loss of spin texture over time

You don’t pay anything extra for normal use. We expect paddles to show signs of being played with — that’s part of the game.

    What’s Not Covered (Customer Responsibility)

You are responsible for damage caused by misuse, negligence, or accidents. This includes:

    • Large edge chips or cracks from hitting the court, net posts, or hard surfaces
    • Deep gouges, punctures, or broken frames
    • Damage from leaving paddles in extreme heat or cold
    • Pet damage (including chewing, biting, or scratching by dogs, cats, or other pets)
    • Lost or stolen paddles
    • Excessive or intentional damage

    Important Note on Pets

Paddles are not designed to withstand pet chewing. If a paddle is damaged by a pet, the cost of replacement will be deducted from your damage deposit.

    Damage Deposit

When you join, we collect a one-time $99 refundable damage deposit.

This deposit is fully refundable when you cancel your membership, as long as the paddles are returned in acceptable condition (normal wear and tear is expected).

If a paddle is returned with damage outside of normal wear (including pet chewing), we may deduct a portion (or all) of the deposit to cover repair or replacement costs.

    Return Inspection Process

    When you return a paddle:

    • We inspect it within 48 hours of receipt
    • You will receive an email with photos and the inspection result
    • If everything is fine, your deposit (or remaining balance) is refunded within 5–7 business days

To make the process smooth and fair, we ask that you send two clear photos (front and back) of each paddle before shipping it back.

    How to Avoid Deposit Deductions

    • Avoid hitting hard surfaces (court edges, net posts, concrete)
    • Don’t leave paddles in a hot car or direct sunlight for long periods
    • Keep paddles out of reach of pets when not in use
    • Return paddles clean and dry
    • Take the requested photos before shipping
